Lewis Hamilton's girlfriend regrets the way things were during her time with the Pussycat Dolls

After rumours of fallouts and jealousy within the group, Nicole Scherzinger has admitted she feels bad for how she treated her fellow Pussycat Dolls.

The singer was struggling with an eating disorder during her time with the group and it caused her to isolate herself, giving the impression she was rather aloof. Nicole regrets how this affected her relationship with bandmates Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar.

‘[I would like to say sorry to] the other members of the Pussycat Dolls,’ says Nicole, 36. ‘There were a lot of moments when I was with them that I was distant and stand-offish.

‘I never opened up to them to talk about my problems and I would shut myself away – and push them away – because I was battling this horrible secret illness, bulimia.’

Fortunately Nicole has managed to overcome the eating disorder but she also feels sad about how she let it dominate her life for so long.

‘Between 18 right up to my mid-30s I suffered from bulimia,’ she explains. ‘It was all wrapped up with my low self-esteem and a crippling lack of confidence.

‘It’s taken me a long time to deal with these issues and I feel so annoyed that I let that disease take over.’

Despite going through some difficult times, Nicole has experienced a huge amount of success during the past few years. She’s also found happiness with her boyfriend, Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.

The insecurities still seem to exist though and Nicole – who has recently starred in the West End production of Cats – admits that she often has bad dreams about things going wrong.

‘Before every big show I have nightmares about forgetting lyrics,’ the singer tells Event Magazine. ‘Or not knowing the choreography and being shown up in front of millions of people.’

Yikes! Poor Nicole!
