Royal family are 'waiting by the telephone'

Camilla Parker Bowles has let slip that Kate Middleton should have given birth by the end of the week.

The Duchess Of Cornwall made the admission during a visit to Little Harbour Children’s Hospice at Porthpean near Cornwall yesterday.

Camilla, who is on an annual summer tour of the West Country with Prince Charles, gave an impromptu speech to the crowds and revealed that the royal baby could be here in the next few days.

We are all just waiting by the telephone,’ said Camilla, 65.

We are hopeful that by the end of the week he or she will be here.’

Charles, 64, also seemed keen for his first grandchild to arrive when he chatted with new mum Trudi Lindsay.

Trudi, who introduced Charles to her 3-week-old daughter Ellie-Mae, tells the Daily Mirror: I said “You have got one of these coming soon” and Charles replied “Hopefully”, then he laughed.’

Kate, 31, will be admitted to the luxurious Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London when she goes into labour – whenever that might be.

Her due date was believed to be 13 July but dad-to-be Prince William, 31, didn’t seem too worried about the baby making an appearance on the weekend.

Instead he took part in a charity polo match in Cirencester, Gloucestershire with brother Prince Harry, 28.
