Selena Gomez might be single but she won’t be embarking on any one-night stands.

The singer, who split from Justin Bieber earlier this year, admits that she wanted to rebel after a difficult love split but knew she’d never be the type to have casual hook-ups.

You fall in love and it completely consumes you,’ says Selena, 21.

So a part of you is broken when that’s gone. And part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you’re just like, “Forget it, I can do anything I want.”

I’ve tried it and I’ve never been that girl. I’m always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night.’

Even though Selena knows who she is, things could change a lot in the next few years of her life as she undergoes a transition.

I’m 21, so now I’ve entered the decade of confusion about who I am and what I want to do with my life, and that’s what this entire decade’s going to be,’ the former Disney starlet tells Teen Vogue.

The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve learned that I have to open myself up to all opportunities. Maybe I’ll get burned and not meet the right people, but I won’t know until I do it.’
