Rugby player treated for concussion after incident
The rugby ace was on an end-of-season pub crawl in Leeds with his Sale Sharks teammates when he was knocked down whilst running across a road.
Danny, 25, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
‘Danny’s spending the night in hospital,’ his manager James Williamson told The Sun last night.
‘X-rays and scans will be carried out overnight. He’s obviously in pain. He was running across the road and just misjudged the speed of the bus.’
Onlookers spoke of their shock, with one Tweeting: ‘Every bit of the bus front window is smashed to pieces – imagine what the guy looks like.‘
It’s thought that Danny’s teammates tried to contact Kelly, 33, after the accident.
Danny opened up about his rekindled relationship with the model earlier this week, admitting she was ‘good for him’.
‘She’s a very positive person,’ the rugby star told The Sun.
‘She’s not a big drinker and she’s very supportive. I don’t see how that could be a bad thing.
‘She’s very positive about what I need to do over the next couple of months and knows I’m focused on my rugby.’
