OK, she’s not about to get married for a third time but the Coronation Street actress HAS got a wedding coming up…

Kym Marsh is about to don a veil again.

Well, at least on stage she is!

The Coronation Street actress, who has twice been married in real life, is playing one of the three brides of Dracula in a brand new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s book.

A world away from Michelle Connor on the cobbles, Kym will vamp it up in the gothic tale and appear in pre-filmed sequences which will be projected on stage during the performance.

Kym already has *plenty* of experience playing a bride – she wed EastEnders actor Jack Ryder in 2002 before splitting six years later and her divorce from second husband Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas was finalised earlier this month. She’s now dating personal trainer Dan Hooper.

Jonathan Harker and Dracula is not the first time Kym‘s starred in a play. She played Annette in the West End production of Saturday Night Fever and recently performed in Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues at the Gaiety Theatre, Isle of Man.

She will star alongside West End star Rachel Tucker and Jayne Wisener from Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd.

Gerard McCarthy
, who played Kris Fisher in Hollyoaks and recently starred in the first series of The Fall with Jamie Dornan, plays Count Dracula and Jonathan Harker, whose diaries tell the supernatural story.

‘We wanted three powerful, strong, sexy women to play the Brides Of Dracula and I’m delighted that Kym, Rachel and Jayne are on board,’ Gerard says. ‘The three of them together will be a force to be reckoned with!’

We hope he’ll be uttering the line, ‘I want to suck your blood’ on stage but we doubt it!

* Jonathan Harker and Dracula will run from 18-27 September at the Theatre At The Mill in Belfast before a limited Irish tour. See www.jonathanharkeranddracula.com
