Wills sticks to budget menu
Prince William had a right royal night out on Wednesday when 46 friends joined him for a curry.
The 25-year-old took a night off from his RAF training in North Yorkshire to sample the delights of York’s Saffron Desi restaurant.
Staff were delighted when he turned up with the huge party made up of colleagues and minders.
‘I was amazed,’ owner Mohammed Nisar tells the Daily Express. ‘I couldn’t believe we had a royal here. The customers were going crazy.’
Despite the large booking, the bill only came to just above £1,300.
Wills, who was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, selected the aptly named Royal Delight budget special as his main course.
He washed the £7.95 mild chicken dish down with three bottles of Strongbow cider.
