It's a who's-who of fit pop stars on The X Factor this weekend..but who will win?
Any plans we might have had to go out on the razzle this weekend are officially CANCELLED – details of this Saturday’s The X Factor final have be revealed, and it’s not to be missed.
Apart from having us wonder if the talent booker failed Maths at school (there’s four performers, and only three finalists), we can’t wait to see if any of the duets will manage to top Sam Bailey and Nicole Scherzinger‘s sch-amazing ballad-off from last year.
Earlier in the series, Fleur East sang Meghan Trainor‘s hit All About That Bass, the ‘booty anthem’ that went viral back in August. Its lyrics, including the line ‘My mama she told me, don’t worry about your size / She says the boys like a little more booty to hold at night’ were applauded by some as an ode to curvy girls, while others claimed the song ‘body-shamed’ slimmer women.
Lyrical politics aside, Fleur wowed viewers with her rendition, and we can’t wait to see if she teams up with Meghan on Saturday night. Demi Lovato, hair chameleon and former X Factor USA judge, is also lending her pipes to one lucky finalist. Or will she team up with Olly‘s act who’s her collaborator on Up.
We’re crossing our fingers for a Sheeran/Haenow collab – who wouldn’t want two fit blokes with wistful eyes and gravely voices gracing their telly?
No X Factor final would be complete without guest performers, and the stops have been well and truly pulled out – One Direction will return to the stage in a flurry of man-buns and pocket squares, while this year’s music industry darling, Sam Smith, will also perform.
Both Sam and Ed Sheeran are up for Best British Artist at the inaugural BBC Music Awards on December 11, so by the time they perform, one will have been crowned. Let’s hope the winner has some handy tips for this year’s X Factor king or queen!
