You won't believe how much the Outnumbered kids have grown up...

When BBC One’s Outnumbered finished last year after five series, we were TOTALLY gutted – which is why the news of a one-off special this year has got us celebrating big time!

Screenwriters Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin told The Sun: ‘We hope to visit the family for a kind of one-off.’ Me and Guy, on our wall, in our office, we have a list of ideas we are trying to work on.’ Yippee!

We were rather hoping the long-awaited Brockman family reunion would come to our screens as a Chrimbo special, but the writers have other ideas: ‘We’ve done a few Christmas specials, but you kind of disappear in a big gap of Christmas programming. We’re kind of inclined to do it somewhere else if we can. We’re hoping to film it next year.’ Basically, 2016 can’t come soon enough…SO. EXCITED.

In the meantime, we’ve had a dig around and found some ADORBS old photos of the show’s three starring kids: Jake, Daniel and Karen (played by Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez). The child actors improvised many of their lines through the series, to adorable effect…remembered Karen’s hilarious ‘leaving home’ moment? The boys are looking SO tall and grown up, while Ramona is a super-cool chick with a fashionable spiky blonde bob. We can’t believe how much they have changed!

What can we expect from the next episode? Will Jake still be mingling with the wrong crowd? Will Ben be getting more into his acting after his great performance in ‘Spartacus the musical’? And will Karen still be giving her school headmistress a good telling off? The wait begins now!
