James Bond in Star Wars? We're excited!
Everyone’s excited and eagerly anticipating the new Star Wars film that is coming out later this year. We expected it to be full of suprises, but we never thought one of them would be that a Stormtrooper is actually going to be James Bond!
Yes, that’s right 007 license to kill himself is a Stormtrooper.
Although Daniel Craig‘s small cameo in the film was revealed last year, no one knew the identity of the character he was going to play. That is until Simon Pegg came along.
Simon himself has also long been linked to the new instalment of the Star Wars franchise, but while he was quick to clear up any rumours of his role in the film, he also accidentally revealed the 47-year-old’s role.
‘I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper,’ he said at the premiere of his new film, Man Up.
He then desperately tried to make things right after he realised his mistake and said: ‘I shouldn’t have said that!’
Opps. We’ll make a mental note to never tell Simon, 45, our deepest and darkest secrets…
Daniel was keen to be involved in the upcoming Star Wars film, but wanted his cameo to be a secret, with his name left off posters.
Although the cat’s out of the bag now, Daniel‘s busy finshing filming Spectre, his fourth film as James Bond, where evreryone from Ed Sheeran to Sam Smith has been rumoured to do the coveted theme song.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, which will be over 10 years since the the last live-action Star Wars film.
While there’s still a while to wait, Madame Tussauds is celebrating the occasion by creating scenes from the films. The London attraction had more than 180 scultors working for over a year to create 11 scenes that feature our favourite characters, including a 220kg Jabba the Hutt and Chewbacca which took 1,000 hours to make. Wow.
We can’t wait to see the film and have a guess at which Stormtrooper get-up Daniel Craig will be hiding under…
