But we mustn’t overlook the night’s other big winners, with several huge names taking home well-deserved prizes for their work on the silver screen.

Casey Affleck was named Best Actor for his role in Manchester By The Sea and seemed stunned by the accolade.
In fact he admitted later that he’d forgotten to mention his kids in his acceptance speech because he’d gone blank!
Meanwhile Emma Stone scooped the Best Actress gong for La La Land and spoke emotionally of how she wants to continue to progress.
‘I still have a lot of growing and learning and work to do,’ she explained before showing her statuette. ‘And this guy is a really beautiful symbol to continue on that journey and I’m so grateful for that. So thank you so much, thank you.’
Nawww. Other big winners included Viola Davis for Best Supporting Actress in Fences and Mahershala Ali for Best Supporting Actor in Moonlight.
And, unless you’ve been living under a rock since the ceremony, you’ll most likely have heard that Moonlight also took home the Best Picture award – despite it incorrectly being given to La La Land moments earlier in a shocking end to the ceremony.
