Former England player detained after hotel incident
Paul Gascoigne has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act following his arrest on Wednesday at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead.
The former England star – known as Gazza – had earlier been a guest at the Malmaison Hotel where it is alleged he grabbed a night porter by the neck and set off fire alarms.
The Sun reports that Gazza had been holed up in his room with battery-operated parrots which he’d programmed to say ‘F*ck off’ to other hotel guests.
‘We attended the Hilton Hotel after receiving a report of concern for a 40-year-old man staying at the hotel,’ a police spokesman tells the Daily Mail.
‘The man was detained under the Mental Health Act and no one was injured during the incident.’
Meanwhile Paul’s step-daughter Bianca, 21, had some trouble of her own on Wednesday night.
She was snapped falling to the floor after being refused entry into Kylie Minogue’s Brits after-party at Movida.
