Rod Stewart’s wife is fan of BBC show

Penny Lancaster is being lined up to appear on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Rod Stewart’s wife, 36, has been approached by BBC bosses.

‘Penny’s a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘Beeb bosses think she’ll be the ultimate draw — sexy and a good mover.

‘Every year producers want to get the best names possible and Penny is right at the top of their list. She’s keen to sign so hopefully it’s all systems go.’

Penny will join ex-EastEnder Natalie Cassidy, 24 — who played Sonia Fowler — ex-Coronation Street star Debra Stephenson, 35, Gabby Logan and GMTV’s Andrew Castle on the show.
