Singer says kids shouldn't have to go through it

Peter Andre thinks ex-wife Katie Price is wrong to suggest that divorce is good for kids.

Last week, the glamour model – aka Jordan -claimed that children who come from a broken home are lucky because they get more presents and holidays.

But Peter, 37, doesn’t see how their daughter Princess, 3, and son Junior, 5, have benefited from their own split last year.

‘I think divorce absolutely affects kids no matter what age they are and that if it can be avoided, it should be,’ he writes in his new! diary.

‘Obviously for some couples, divorce is the only option and there’s no other way for them.

‘But I think, ideally, kids shouldn’t have to go through it and if they do, they certainly shouldn’t be classed as “lucky”.

‘No amount of material possessions make up for the fact that you don’t have both parents around all the time.’

Peter and Katie, 32, divorced in October 2009 after 3 years of marriage.
