Pete will tour again this year

Peter Andre admits that not all of his music has been brilliant.

The singer, who shot to fame in the 1990s when he had a hit with Mysterious Girl, has been focusing more on television work lately as he’s struggled to get his songs played on the radio.

‘I sat down and said to myself: “You numpty, you’re 40 years old, getting a lot of TV work and although you love music there’s not much chance of getting radio play…”‘ Pete tells TV Magazine.

‘So I thought instead of releasing albums, I’ll do them only for tours and sell [the albums with the tickets] as a package.

‘Yes, some of the songs I’ve done have been shocking – there have been some good ones! – but I can sell out the O2 Arena [in London], and still can’t get on Radio 1.

‘Neither can Robbie Williams.’

Pete’s embarking on a 24-date UK tour in September and October of this year, six months or so after pregnant girlfriend Emily MacDonagh gives birth to their first child.
