The Strictly dance rehearsals are well and truly underway, and Peter Andre has admitted he is findng it pretty intense!

It’s just 10 days until the next Strictly Come Dancing kicks off, and we are very much looking forward to seeing all the celebs develop their competitive side.

It will soon become clear who has been putting the extra work in at the rehearsals – and who has been slacking!

Peter Andre, 42, is one of the contestants who we all have very high expectations of. We’ve all seen the Mysterious Girl music video so we know he has some smooth moves already! But will Pete manage to pull off some serious ballroom dancing?

Everyone knows the Strictly rehearsals are not easy. They are renowned for being gruelling, tiring and very intense. Even trying to pull off those glittery leotards is a challenge!

Other Strictly contenders like Georgia May Foote and Jamelia are just two of the stars who have confessed to finding the rehearsals a little tough.

So it wasn’t much of a surprise when Pete admitted he is also finding it hard work. He said: ‘It’s not going to be a walk in the park! It’s so tough but incredibly rewarding.

‘My dance partner Janette is such a great teacher and I’ve discovered muscles I never even knew existed!’

The dad-of-three also apologised in advance for the cheesy jokes he will be making on the show: ‘They’ve asked me to throw a few in and I have, but I just cringe!’

He hopes all his children can be there to support him at the first live show. ‘I’d love for Junior and Bista to come. I know they’d love to come too.’

The contestants only get allocated a certain amount of tickets every week so they have to make an important choice on who gets to witness their transformations!

Hopefully we’ll see Pete sail through to the final and lift the coveted glitterball trophy.

Catch the first Strictly show on BBC1, Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of September.
