Plan B and little-known band Everything Everything have been nominated for two Ivor Novello gongs.

Rapper Plan B, 27, real name Ben Drew, is in the running for Best Album for The Defamation Of Strickland Banks and Most Performed Song for She Said.

Everything Everything are also competing for Best Album with Man Alive and their track My Kz, Ur Bf is up for Best Song.

Other nominees include Tinie Tempah and Katy B, who’ll both be hoping to nab the award for Best Contemporary Song with their hits Pass Out and Katy On A Mission.

A number of other awards – including Outstanding Contribution To British Music – will be announced on the day.

The 56th Ivor Novello Awards – which celebrate excellence in songwriting – take place at London’s Grosvenor House on Thursday 19 May.
