It's Katie Hopkins versus the Loose Women!
When it comes to opinions the Loose Women panel usually aren’t short of a few.
And as Coleen Nolan, Janet Street Porter, Ruth Langsford and Gloria Hunniford sat down with controversial Celebrity Big Brother contestant Katie Hopkins recently – they certainly had a some views to share.
With Katie being booked on the show to chat about her experiences in the CBB house, Coleen was quick to quiz Katie to see if she ever regrets her controversial comments and wishes to apologise for them.
Especially her hurtful tweets from last year following her sister Linda Nolan‘s stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, which seen Katie repeatedly hurling abuse at Linda‘s ‘ugly fat arm’ and ‘drooping breasts’ which were the result of her previous battle with cancer.
With Katie stating no adding, ‘If you put yourself out there on TV, you have to accept what people throw at you’ – the other girls were then quick to tell reality show runner up she was in the wrong.
But did they take it a little too far?
For a woman welcomed onto the ITV show to discuss her highs and lows from her recent experience, she spent the majority of the interview defending her actions against a bunch of irate panelists who shown no signs of professionalism.
Something the general public was also quick to pick up on.
‘Colleen Nolan was totally unprofessional on loose women today and should not of been allowed to be on the show,’ Sue Stock tweeted following the uncomfortable viewing.
Another viewer stated: ‘The Loose Women panel were definitely in the wrong today. Although Katie can be a bit full on, there was no need to gang up on her!‘.
With Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt even taking to Twitter to express her disappointment, writing: ‘Just watched @KTHopkins on loose women, they were asking questions then trying to answer them for her! Glad Katie stood up to them!’
After her appearance, Katie tweeted:
‘Many thanks to @moose-women for having me on the show. The sisterhood at its finest. #loosewomen‘.
‘Thank you for all the terribly kind messages regarding @loosewomen #TeamKatieHopkins – the army of the femme fierce‘.
She also tweeted: ‘@NolanColeen super lovely to meet you today. You might enjoy & benefit from #MyFatStory available on iTunes‘ but that didn’t go down well and she was called a ‘bully’ on social media.
