Bey needs to take it easy ahead of the birth of her twins
Beyoncé has been forced to pull out of her headline set at Coachella in April due to doctor’s orders.
The singer, 35, is pregnant with twins and has been told to ease up on her work commitments, meaning she’ll no longer take to the stage at the Californian festival in seven weeks’ time.
Bey fans needn’t worry though as she’s planning to make a comeback next year – yay!
‘Following advice of doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival,’ a statement to Associated Press says.
‘However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.’
It’s not yet been announced who will replace the award-winning star at the event, where the other headliners are Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
Many members of the Beyhive have been left pretty distraught by the announcement, so much so that some have even suggested they’ll try to SELL their tickets as they don’t want to go anymore.
‘Beyoncé pulled out of coachella. I WILL be selling my ticket! I’m no longer interested!!’ one admirer posted on Twitter, whilst another said: ‘Beyoncé isn’t performing at Coachella now and I’m praying they find someone better or equally as good as her or I’m demanding a refund’
News of Beyoncé’s withdrawal from the festival comes less than a fortnight after she graced the stage at the Grammy Awards and proudly showed off her huge baby bump.
The expectant star put on a memorable performance which saw her take part in some jaw-dropping choreography whilst showcasing her growing tum in a revealing outfit.
It’s not clear when Bey and husband Jay Z – who are already parents to daughter Blue Ivy, 5 – will welcome the new additions to their family but they’re obviously incredibly excited about it.
‘We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,’ Beyonce told her fans in her Instagram announcement of her pregnancy.
‘We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters’
Time to put your feet up for a while we think, Bey!
