The mum-of-three isn't letting her turbulent past get her down
She’s known as a bona fide gym bunny (having even met her current love whilst working out), but it seems that Danielle Lloyd is taking her mental health just as seriously.
Following a rough few months – what with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara spilling all about their failed marriage on Celebrity Big Brother), Danielle has revealed she thinks she’ll be in therapy for the rest of her life – and celebrated the benefits that getting things off your chest brings.
In a new interview with Closer, the mum of three – who is currently expecting her first child with fiancé Michael O’Neill – revealed: ‘I’ll have a therapist on speed dial forever! It’s good to talk to someone about your problems and I know I can always talk to Michael.’
Outside of her way-harsh break-up with Jamie (who reportedly cheated on the mother of his three children), former Miss Great Britain Danielle opened up last month about the other hardships she’s suffered in her life.
Appearing on TV show In Therapy, she confessed that massive insecurities previously made her turn to drink and drugs, and revealed that her ski instructor attempted to sexually assault her when she was just 13. Now she says that therapy is helping her to her work through these issues.
‘Seeing a therapist made me realise that being sexually assaulted and cheated on has played a massive part in my life and how I act. I can row with Michael about really silly things as I’m so insecure. When he goes to work, I’ll say: ‘What time are you coming home?’ like a crazy person. It’s not because I don’t trust him – I’m just not secure in myself.’
Happily, things are looking up for 33-year-old Danielle. Just last week she announced her pregnancy by ‘doing a Beyoncé‘ and posing for a clothing-light, flower-heavy shoot…
In the new interview, she went on to call Michael her ‘soul mate’, saying: ‘I’m now in the relationship I was meant to be in and I’ve never been happier.’
Aww, good for you Danielle!
