Kate shows off baby bump as she launches counselling programme

Kate Middleton has revealed that she enjoys dancing and eating sweets in her role as a royal.

The pregnant Duchess visited The Willows Primary School in Manchester yesterday – based on the estate where TV drama Shameless is filmed – and was presented with a book written by the children called What Do Princesses Do?

Kate, who showed off her baby bump in a fitted floral dress, read out extracts from the book and agreed that she did all of the things they imagined she’d do.

‘Eat bananas? Yes I certainly do that,’ Kate, 31, told the kids.

‘Dancing, yes that, too. Eat sweets. Yes I like all of those!’

The royal mum-to-be, who is due to give birth in July, was at the school to launch a counselling programme for children whose parents have problems with addiction.

‘Last year I asked The Royal Foundation, which I share with [Prince] William and [Prince] Harry, what could be done to help these children,’ Kate said in a speech about the project.

‘In partnership with our foundation, Comic Relief work to explore this issue.’

Kate also planted a tree in the school grounds along with comedian John Bishop, who joked: ‘I can’t believe you have a pregnant woman shovelling dirt while I stand around.’
