The royal hints he's not allowed a games console
The royal confessed that he’d love to own the new Playstation 4 after trying it out at a gaming industry event at BAFTA headquarters in London yesterday.
It’s very addictive,’ said Wills, 31.
I’d like to get one but I’m not sure how my wife would feel about it.’
Given that the couple have three-month-old baby Prince George to look after, Kate, 31, no doubt wants her husband to give their son his full attention.
The new dad tried his luck at a series of games while promoting the Give Something Back campaign, which helps young people develop their skills in the movie, TV and gaming industries.
Wills played Hamster World Domination, where he tried to save a princess but failed, and also tested Vacuum Panic, where the aim was to clean at least 70 per cent of the house before mum got home.
[I got] 52 per cent clean. Not that clean really,’ the Prince admitted.
Even though he struggled with the games – calling his results ‘terrible’ – Wills felt passionate about the cause.
Our developers are more in demand than ever before, so I hope the young people take inspiration from today’s workshop, and get a taste for what a career in games might be like,’ he said in a speech to guests.
I know that I, for one, as an enthusiastic but quite useless gamer, look forward to playing the weird and wonderful games which these young people dream up in the future.’
