The Notting Hill star gets his licence after one week of lessons
Rhys Ifans became a fully-fledged driver today on his first attempt after only 20 hours of lessons in one week.
The stage and screen actor, 41, took an intensive one-week driving course, starting on Monday 28 June and passed his test today at 9.07am.
‘It has been a fantastic week with a fantastic result passing my driving test,’ says the star. ‘I am so relieved.’
Rhys, known for his role as Spike in Notting Hill, passed with eight ‘minors’.
You are allowed up to and including 15 minor mistakes and still be able to pass. Sixteen and above results in a fail.
