The comedian wasn't impressed by the delivery

Russell Kane was left unimpressed when he received some unattractive knickers in the post.

The comedian, who embarks on his Smallness stand-up tour this autumn, felt the saucy fan mail wasn’t quite up to standard.

I arrived at a venue and there was a Jiffy bag waiting for me with knickers in it,’ says Russell, 32.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but if you’re going to send someone knickers, don’t you want them to be a certain type?

Like, not really from a Primark multipack?’

Russell was also surprised by how voluminous the cheap pants were.

I was trying to show them off to my support act and, I’m not against a larger lady, but I got them out and the unfolding of them just went on and on,’ the funnyman tells Celebs On Sunday.

They were a size 18 from George at Asda.’
