Girls Aloud star Sarah reveals she’s reached out to Chezza following her split from husband Jean-Bernard

Sarah Harding has thrown her support behind Cheryl following the news of her split from husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The Girls Aloud star – who was in the group with Chezza for 10 years – revealed during an appearance on Loose Women on Wednesday that she’s been in touch with her bandmate and thinks she’ll be okay.

PICS What’s Sarah Harding done to her face?

‘I dropped her a text,’ said Sarah, 34.

‘Cheryl’s a strong girl. She’ll bounce back.’

We’re glad to hear that! It comes after sad reports on the weekend that Cheryl, 32, and French businessman JB are allegedly filing for divorce just 18 months after tying the knot.

The couple got hitched in July 2014 following a whirlwind romance but in recent months they’ve rarely been seen together, a far cry from the first few months of their marriage when Jean-Bernard was regularly seen supporting Cheryl on The X Factor.

Sarah admits that she didn’t know her bandmate’s hubby that well but noticed during those early days that he was frequently by Cheryl’s side.

‘I met him a couple of years ago on Xtra Factor,’ the singer revealed.

‘I didn’t know them that well as a couple. He seemed nice enough, he was always there.’

Sarah is the first of Cheryl’s Girls Aloud pals to discuss the singer’s relationship woes but it looks like the other girls have been supporting her through it.

Chezza is BFFs with Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts and the trio were seen enjoying a girlie night out together in London last month.

Interestingly Cheryl kept her left hand lodged in her pocket when leaving eaterie Sexy Fish after the get-together, meaning it was unclear whether she was wearing her wedding ring or not.

Whilst Ms Fernandez-Versini recently hinted she’s working on new solo music amidst her marriage troubles, Sarah is about to take on a whole new challenge as she confirmed on Loose Women that she’s taking part in skiiing reality show The Jump – good luck, Sarah!
