England manager launches new team strip

England manager Fabio Capello has unveiled the new official team strip – and David Beckham is desperate to get his hands on one.

The footie hunk, 32, was devastated not to be included in the line-up for last night’s match, the first game orchestrated by the Italian.

Despite not having Becks’ cross-field passing magic at Wembley, England beat Switzerland 2-1.

David will have to bide his time to get his 100th international cap.

Teammates Michael Owen, 28, Shaun Wright-Phillips, 26, and Rio Ferdinand, 29, joined Fabio, 61, for the presentation of the latest England kit at The Grove Hotel, in Hertfordshire on Monday.

And the LA Galaxy star is determined to get back in the side.

‘I will carry on working hard,’ he told the Independent last week. ‘I won’t get bitter and twisted because I am old enough and I have got enough respect for the manager to realise that. If it doesn’t happen, life goes on.

‘I have been lucky enough in my career to come back from tough times and disappointments.’
