Coronation St triumphs over EastEnders as Best Soap - see video
Coronation Street has won an impressive seven prizes at the British Soap Awards 2007 and EastEnders only one.
The glamorous event was held at BBC Television Centre in west London last night.
Dame Shirley Bassey presented the top award for Best Soap to the Corrie cast.

Todd Carty gave them Lifetime Achievement Award to his on-screen mum, former EastEnder Wendy Richard, who played Pauline Fowler and became ‘the heart and soul’ of the BBC soap.

Sexiest Male – Rob James-Collier (Liam Connor)
Best Newcomer – Kym Ryder (Michelle Connor)
Best Exit – Bill Ward (Charlie Stubbs)
Best Storyline – Tracy taking revenge on Charlie
Best Dramatic Performance – Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater)
Best Dramatic Performance From A Young Actor or Actress – Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle)
Spectacular Scene of the Year – the house collapse.
Sexiest Female – Roxanne McKee (Louise Summers),
Villain Of The Year -Gemma Bissix (Clare Cunningham)
Best Comedy Performance – Gemma Merna (Carmel McQueen).
Best On-Screen Partnership – Stirling Gallacher and Sean Gleeson (George and Ronnie Woodson)
Best Single Episode – Shreds And Aftermath.
The British Soap Awards will be screened on Wednesday 30 May on ITV1.
