Scary comes in 2nd place on Dancing With The Stars despite scoring highest marks

Mel B lost out in the final of US show Dancing With The Stars – despite being favourite to win.

Scary, 32, had to settle for second place as Brazilian racing driver Helio Castroneves took home the dancing crown.

It was a shock result as earlier she’d received the highest marks from the judges. Mel and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy won a perfect 30 for their final dance routine.

On the overall leader board, Mel came in 1 point ahead of Helio, 32 – but the US public warmed to his big personality over her sexy moves.

Earlier, Marie Osmond, 48, was the first finalist to be eliminated.

Mel was gutted about losing to Helio but intends to show off her fancy footwork on the Spice Girls tour.

She and Emma Bunton, 31 – who came third in the UK’S Strictly Come Dancing – will wow the crowd with a special routine.

‘We have this little tango section so we can show off our stuff,’ Mel tells the Daily Mirror.
