After Selena Gomez reveals her 'ghost app' to Jimmy Kimmel on the Tonight show, we take a look at the 4 other celebrities who believe in spooks
Who do you call? GOMEZbuster, apparently. Selena Gomez revealed to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight show that she ‘believes in ghosts’ – and even has an app to count them.
Whipping out her iPhone, she set up the app to monitor the spirit activity in the NBC studios: ‘‘I believe that spirits can tap into technology, why not right?’ Totally, Selena.
It gets better – apparently, the clever app not only identifies the phantoms in the room, it also speaks, coming out with the word ‘children’ on the show. ‘Children…I don’t have any children so they must be mad at ya’ll,’ explained Selena, gesturing at the audience. OK, that all makes perfect sense.
But Selena isn’t the only celebrity that believes in the supernatural. Here are four other celebrities that do…
Speaking to Elle UK, Miley recalled a series of creepy stare-offs with a ghost in her London flat: ‘I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching me take a shower so I felt really freaked out. I was sitting there the next night and maybe I’m crazy, but I could have sworn I could see this little boy sitting there on the sink, kicking his feet.’ Can’t a girl take a shower in peace?! Not if you’re Miley, apparently!
Yup, there’s a ghost in Matthew’s house, but it’s no biggie – he’s even given her the nickname ‘Madame Blue’. ‘She’s a cool ghost,’ the Magic Mike star told Hollyscoop, ‘Maybe me being nude all the time is why we get along.’ Swoon. Are you sure that’s not just a fan in disguise who’s sneaked into your house, Matthew? We wouldn’t put it past us…
Growing up in Disneyland sounds like fun to us, but according to Ryan Gosling there’s one big downside. The Mickey Mouse Club former child star couldn’t help but ‘see things’ backstage, he revealed to Esquire. But how bad could Disneyland ghosts get? ‘Mickey Mouse with his head off, drinking coffee on break. Pirates on the phone. Ghosts in line for food.’ Creepy.
Ariana recalled a terrifying graveyard experience in her Complex cover story, where her car was filled with the smell of sulphur (a clear sign that ghosts are about, appaz). Two weeks later, she felt a spirit entered her room – and quickly called a mate who helpfully advised her to tell it to ‘f**k off’, which Ariana refused to do. ‘I watched it move to the front of my bed and then I fell asleep on the phone. I woke up and it was gone. ‘ she said. Shows that politeness always pays off, even to supernatural beings.
