Justin Bieber's ex takes on very adult role
Selena Gomez has admitted she’s tried to warn the parents of her young fans to keep them away from her new movie.
Raunchy thriller Spring Breakers sees Selena shed her clean-cut image in a very adult role and the former Disney star knows it’s unsuitable for much of her fanbase.
I’ve done my best to warn the parents,’ says Selena, 20.
I’ll be 21 this year so for me, it’s been refreshing to step outside of my comfort zone and do things I didn’t think I could do as an actress.
I do my music, my clothing line and everything else for my fans, so as long as I make sure they’re warned about a film being for those 18 and older, why not?’
Selena might shock some fans’ parents but her own family are okay with her explicit on-screen antics.
My mum’s been in the industry for a while,’ says Justin Bieber‘s ex.
She was an actress too and is the same age as the film’s director Harmony Korine, so she’s watched some of his films, such as Kids, and knew what he was about.’
