Seven years after Jade Goody's death, her widower Jack Tweed remembers his wife with a touching Twitter post
It’s exactly seven years since the sad day that Jade Goody lost her cancer battle, and her widower Jack Tweed has remembered his late wife with an emotional tribute.
Posting on Twitter on the seventh anniversary of Jade’s death, Jack said the star ‘will never be forgotten’ and told her ‘miss you’.
Sharing three pictures of Jade, including one of the couple with her two children, Bobby and Freddie, Jack wrote:
He added the prayer and love heart emoji to his touching post, which struck a chord with many Twitter users.
One replied saying: ‘Thinking of you today. Many women’s lives have been saved thanks to Jades cervical cancer awareness legacy. Big hugs. x’
Another added: ‘Wow 7 yrs , her legacy lives on RIP jade never forgotten xx’
Jack and Jade were married just one month before she passed away, and last month he marked their seventh wedding anniversary with another post, calling her an ‘angel’.
Jade sadly died of cervical cancer on 22 March 2009, which also happened to be Mother’s Day.
Her sons – both from a previous relationship with television presenter Jeff Brazier – were just five and four at the time of her death.
Dad Jeff recently shared two new pictures of Bobby, now 12, and Freddie, now 11, with a Jade memorial page on Facebook and they showed just how much they’ve grown.
Jeff, who was in a relationship with Jade from 2002 to 2004, also revealed on Twitter that he and his sons had been remembering Jade on Mother’s Day in a lovely way.
‘Paid our respects, had fun on pier & ate large burgers. Today went well thanks to the courage & maturity of our boys,’ Jeff, 36, captioned two photos from the outing, one showing a bunch of flowers and another showing the boys on a pebble beach.
