Has Kate Middleton been taking inspiration from pictures of Princess Diana with Prince William and Harry when they were babies?
Kate Middleton appears to have dressed her two children just like Princess Diana did with a young Prince William and Harry back in the 1980s. In fact George – who turns two next month – is sporting a near identical shirt to one worn by Wills when he attended the christening of baby Harry in 1984 – cute!
The shock pictures show that Wills, now 32, even sported blue shorts similar to George’s. And given that they both have their blond locks neatly swept over to the side, the resemblance between father and son is quite uncanny.
Kate, 33, must have been inspired by the old photos when she picked out George’s adorable outfit! The young Prince wore the same ensemble when he first visited Charlotte in hospital shortly after her birth last month too.
It’s not just George whose get-up gives a nod to dad William’s childhood though. Little Charlotte’s outfit in the photos is very similar to one worn by Prince Harry in an old picture of him as a baby.
The retro snap shows Harry, now 30, wearing a snuggly white costume just like Charlotte’s as he is cradled by mum Diana. A young Wills sits in front of them, once again wearing blue shorts near identical to George’s. This is just too cute!
Kate took the gorgeous new pictures of George and Charlotte herself in mid-May when Charlotte – born on Saturday 2 May – was just a couple of weeks old. The mum-of-two also styled the homely photoshoot and William was believed to have been present to see the photos being taken.
It’s the first time that Charlotte has been seen since she was presented outside London’s St Mary’s Hospital on the day of her birth. The tot will doubtless be wearing a traditional royal outfit when she is christened on Sunday 5 July at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham Estate.
