Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem end their engagement

Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem have called off their engagement and ended their relationship after nearly 7 years together.

The Australia’s Got Talent judge proposed to Delta, 26, in 2007 following his divorce from Kerry Katona the previous year.

Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden regretfully announce
that they are no longer engaged, and after much consideration, have
mutually decided to end their relationship,’ their joint statement reads.

‘This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart.

‘They leave the partnership with respect for one and other, wishing each other success and happiness for the future.

Delta and Brian
appreciate there will be interest regarding this announcement but
request that their time together is respected and they are given privacy
during this time of transition.’

Brian and Delta – who starred in Aussie soap opera Neighbours, then turned to music – met in 2004 when they sang together on the song Almost Here.

The ex-Westlife singer now lives in Australia, and took to Twitter to thank his ex for their years as a couple.

‘I love delta and always will,’ Brian, 30, Tweeted today. ‘She is one of gods living angels. I thank her for giving me the best years of my life. Please give us time x.’
