Rubina Ali wants to tell her story

Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali has written an autobiography despite only being aged 9.

In the book, the actress opens up about growing up in poverty and her role in the Oscar-winning movie.

Everyone will get to see my friends, my family and what I have been doing since Slumdog Millionaire changed my life, she says.

All royalties will go to Rubina and charity Medecins du Monde.

Slumgirl Dreaming: My Journey To The Stars, to be published by Transworld, will hit shelves on 16 July.
