CBB star Stephanie Davis has spoken of the heartbreaking message she left for her family before attempting to take her own life

Stephanie Davis has opened up about her suicide attempt, revealing that she penned a note for her family before taking an overdose.

Having revealed her she once tried to take her own life on Loose Women last week, the Celebrity Big Brother star discusses the sad suicide bid further in a new interview with OK! magazine, giving details of the heartbreaking letter she wrote in which she apologised to her family that she ‘wasn’t good enough’.

Speaking to the mag, Steph said: ‘One day I just thought, I can’t do this anymore, so I wrote a letter to my family saying I was sorry that I wasn’t good enough and I took an overdose alone in my flat.

‘After a while I couldn’t see and I started to panic so I called an ambulance. I don’t remember what happened after that.’

She also recalled how nurses at the hospital she was rushed to warned her she could still suffer organ failure later in life, something she says made her feel ‘silly’.

‘I was crying saying: ‘I want to live’,’ she told the magazine. ‘I didn’t mean to do it really, I just wanted someone to save me.’

Chatting to the Loose Women panel last week, Stephanie opened up about a difficult past relationship which led her to take the overdose.

She said: ‘I don’t want to get upset. I ended up taking an overdose and I couldn’t see myself getting out of it.’

Thankfully, Steph has now found happiness with new love Jeremy McConnell, having got close to the Irish model last month during their time in the CBB house.

And things appear to be going well between the new lovebirds as they’re now discussing MARRIAGE, with Jez saying: ‘All my friends are going to take the p*** out of me but I can see myself marrying her. It’s crazy that we’ve fallen for each other so quickly but it feels right.’
