The Duchess of Cambridge has learnt how to appear relaxed

Now Prince William is home from the Falklands, Kate Middleton will be glad she didn’t let him down during her first public speech.

Kate did brilliantly and Wills is bound to be thrilled she was such a success – thanks to a little bit of coaching.

Now’s learnt that the Duchess of Cambridge, 30, had public speaking training and practised how to project her voice before she addressed the crowd at The Treehouse hospice in Ipswich.

She was encouraged to focus on looking to the back of the room rather than just concentrating on one particular person.

Kate was also taught how to appear relaxed to make everyone feel at ease and was reminded to keep smiling.

Our source reveals: The Palace was aware that it was going to be Kate’s first time speaking by herself in front of an audience, so advisors were happy to give her as much support as possible.

‘What she was taught was pretty standard stuff – it was just to increase her confidence levels.’
