Get excited people, because it’s BACK, Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is finally back.
And after months of rumours, speculation and a lot of impatience, all the sparkly contestants have been revealed. Welcome to the ballroom…
The two final contestants that complete 2018’s celebrity line-up were announced on Good Morning Britain by presenters and former Strictly stars Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold.
And What Not to Wear star Susannah said she was terrified about getting her dancing shoes on, telling the hosts: ‘I hope to prove pigs can fly (dance). Sick with nerves and jangling with excitement’.
Casualty actor Charles also revealed his excitement about joining the show, admitting: ‘It truly is a pleasure to be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, to be associated with a show that has such a huge following excites and scares me in equal measure!
Fans of Strictly were delighted to hear Paralympian Lauren will take to the dance floor later this year.
After The One Show teased the next contestant would be a ‘sportswoman’, presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones introduced the ecstatic athlete.
Speaking on the show, she said: ‘I am a bit nervous, but I think you can revert back to dad dancing if it all goes wrong.’
Following in Simon Webbe’s footsteps, the former Blue singer is the 13th contestant to join the star-studded series this year and was officially announced on Loose Women.
Speaking to the panel, the 35-year-old admitted: ‘Just watching Simon on the show, that was really important. He didn’t go in there knowing what he was doing.
‘I was nervous, even to say yes. I used to run out of my dance lessons, I used to hide in the singing lessons. That’s why I can sing and not dance.’
And it’s fair to say fans of the boyband singer are very excited about the news, as one wrote on Twitter: ‘YAS LEE COME ON’, while a second added: ‘He must be the winner this season.’
The comedian and actor is best-known for appearing on Live At The Apollo and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, but he’ll now be swapping the stage for the dance floor.
‘Having seen videos of me dancing on friends’ phones from the night before, it’s safe to say I’m petrified but also so excited,’ he said on The One Show.
‘I’m really looking forward to the lifts, the Lycra and the laughs, although as Craig would probably say ‘dancing is no laughing matter dahhhhling…’
This news presenting professional is about to ditch her serious persona for something a little more sparkly as she was announced as the 10th celeb to join the line up.
After also announcing the news on The One Show, the 45-year-old admitted her only dance experience was performing in front of her children.
‘I’m excited to confirm that I will be swapping the newsroom for the ballroom and joining this year’s wonderful Strictly family.
‘It’s something of a departure for a news journalist, shifting focus from the headlines to my hemlines and I suspect the only serious element of my life over the coming months will be in training hard and figuring out the foxtrot… but I am so looking forward to the fun, laughter and all the challenges ahead.’
Former Pussycot Doll Ashley, 36, is the latest celebrity to sign up to the dance show, it was revealed this morning.
Sharing her excitement with fans, Ashley tweeted: ‘So… the pussycat’s out the bag!! Ahhh sooo beyond excited for this adventure!!! CANT WAIT!! #strictly.’
Lots of her Twitter followers were thrilled too, with one commenting: ‘You’re gonna be great! Can’t wait!’

I watch her show on CBBC, Show Me What Your Made Of. So glad to hear that she will be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing family! Good luck Stacey!’
Dr Ranj Singh
The This Morning doctor has been confirmed as the seventh contestant for Strictly and we are SO excited.
While cheeky host Ruth Langsford might have hinted her hubby and co-star Eamonn Holmes was joining the line-up, the announcement was made on ITV earlier today.
Will Dr Ranj be as successful as previous This Morning stars such as Alison Hammond and even Ruth herself? We hope so…
England cricketer Graeme was revealed to be the sixth celebrity contestant in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up last night.
The 39-year-old’s exciting new career move was unveiled on BBC Radio 2 by presenters Angela Scanlon and OJ Borg.
During the interview, the dad-of-three confessed he was most worried about waxing his chest in the run-up to the show… LOL!
There’s been mutterings for weeks that Capital FM Breakfast host Vic would be joining the show, and she finally announced the good news live on air on Wednesday morning.
Joined by co-hosts Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay, Vick confirmed: ‘Every Saturday night I’ll be within touching distance of Faye from Steps… I’m doing Strictly!’
The 28-year-old – originally from Newcastle – joined Capital back in April 2017, and also hosts Sky One’s Carnage with Freddie Flintoff and Lethal Bizzle.
The 26-year-old – who’s the brother of famous vlogger Zoella – announced he was taking part on Tuesday’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show.
He became a HUGE online success thanks to his YouTube channel where he shares a load of videos of himself performing pranks and challenges.
But will he be able to win over the British public with his dancing skills?
YES! Our Steps lady has finally confirmed she’ll be throwing on her dancing shows next month in an appearance on The One Show on Monday.
The 42-year-old joined Steps in 1997, and went on to have two number one singles and two number one albums, as well as 14 consecutive top 5 singles. So, it’s safe to say she’s got the performing thing down to a T.
‘I have lied to so many people,’ she admitted to presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones.
The singer then revealed she’s most looking forward to getting dressed up, adding: ‘I am all about the costumes. It’s the crystals, the huge hair, the themed nights…’
Appearing on The One Show alongside fellow contestant Faye, actor Danny confirmed he would ALSO be taking part in the competition.
He’s best known for his role as the Cat in the sitcom Red Dwarf, as well as playing policeman Dwayne Myers in the crime drama Death in Paradise.
The 57-year-old has also had a bit of experience in dancing as he used to perform on the WestEnd and you might even recognise him from The Real Full Monty charity strip tease earlier this year… Ooo la la.
The TV presenter and ex-model will be waltzing on to the dance floor when the show hits our telly screens in Autumn, and it looks like we’re not the only ones who are just itching for the show to begin.
Announcing the exciting news on BBC Breakfast on Monday, 34-year-old Katie said: ‘I’ve known for a while and it’s been really hard to keep it a secret.’
‘I feel so privileged and excited to be part of my favourite show on TV. I already know how much of an amazing experience it will be for me and I can’t wait to show my girls some of my new dance moves.’
Although the mum-of-two is feeling a little bit apprehensive about her huge new gig, as Katie added: ‘It took a while to say yes because it’s something way out of my comfort zone.
‘The only person I told was my husband and he thought I was joking. I’m worried I’ll be the first to go home! The fear I have is I don’t have the natural rhythm. But I like a challenge, anything I can’t do it inspires me to learn it.’
This comes after fans of the BBC series were left totally baffled when hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman released a video containing a load of cheese-based clues about who could be joining the star-studded line up. Hmm…
Strictly is thought to start filming this month, with the rest of the big names to be announced in the coming two weeks ahead of the series’ showbiz red carpet launch at the end of August.
Other celebs rumoured to be reaching for their sparkly leggings for a chance to impress Craig Revel-Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Shirley Ballas and Darcey Bussell include Coleen Rooney, Lee Ryan and even Scarlett Moffatt.
We can’t WAIT for the series to start in September.
