This year the returning celebrity contestants will be joined by another familiar Strictly face

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special has become one of our favourite festive traditions in recent years – what better to sit back and watch after stuffing ourselves with Christmas dins and mince pies, eh?

Well this year the line-up is possibly one of best yet, with some of the most popular stars of Strictly past returning to the dance floor to strut their stuff once again.

Were Ola and Kristina BANNED from Strictly?

For starters former champions Abbey Clancy, Harry Judd and Tom Chambers will all be back after lifting the Gliiterball Trophy in 2013, 2011 and 2008 respectively – eek!

Abbey will dance with Brendan Cole whilst Harry is partnered with Joanne Clifton and Tom is taking to the floor with Oti Mabuse.

As well as the Strictly champs we’ll also see some runners-up make their Strictly comeback.

Lisa Snowdon – who came in third place back in 2008 – features in the line-up and is going to be dancing with last year’s professional champion Pasha Kovalev.

Many Strictly Come Dancing fans will be thrilled to hear that Alison Hammond will be putting on her dance shoes once again too.

The bubbly presenter was very popular with viewers when she appeared on the 2014 series but sadly only made it to week 7 of the competition. This time around she’ll be partnered by Robin Windsor.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, this year’s Strictly Christmas Special has got a bit of a twist.

Not only will celebrity faces be returning but we’ll also welcome back Cassidy Little, the Royal Marine medic who won The People’s Strictly for Comic Relief earlier this year.

The Lance Corporal is reunited with his dance partner from the series Natalie Lowe to compete against the famous faces of Strictly’s past – and we already can’t wait!

It sounds like the stars of the show are getting excited too, though also a little sore in rehearsals!

Good luck, guys!
