Phew! Looks like Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood and Brendan Cole may have finally cleared the air
Brendan, who has appeared on all eleven series of the BBC show, infamously stormed off the dance floor in 2009 after Craig compared his dance partner, Jo Wood, to a ‘bush kangaroo’.
Now though, 49-year-old Craig reckons Brendan has changed for the better.
‘He’s now a daddy and he’s calmed down so he’s not as mouthy, so that does help his vibe. He can’t always keep playing the big “I am” in the show because the celebrities are the big “I am” and not the dancers,’ explained Craig.
Brendan, who is partnered with actress Sunetra Sarker in the 2014 series of Strictly, welcomed his first child, Aurelia, on Christmas Day 2012, with his model-wife Zoe Hobbs.
In the same series that Brendan stormed off the stage, he also branded controversial Craig as an ‘idiot’ after the popular judge told Jo Wood: ‘The best part was when you were standing still.’ Harsh.
Speaking to Now at Thursday night’s Coats And Collars Gala Ball, held in aid of the Battersea Dogs and Cats home, Craig also revealed that despite Brendan’s previous attitude, he believes the professional dancers do help to reign in votes.
Whilst his relationship with 38-year-old Brendan might be on the mend, it looks as though there’s a new potential celebrity enemy and it’s none other than James Jordan.
This week, it was reported that a BBC source claimed James would ‘pull a stunt’ if he attended the live shows. The Celebrity Big Brother 2014 contestant definitely DID NOT take too kindly to this, tweeting: ‘The BBC get worse. Bosses rang me 2 days ago to say a taxi driver told them I was going to sabotage the show. Whatever! I laughed…’
Hmm, what did Craig think of this retaliation?
‘James who? Meh. That’s his opinion and he’s entitled to it so let him spout,’ he laughed. Crikey!
