Strictly's Frankie Bridge reveals her Christmas plans, silly gifts with her band mates and what's on her Christmas wish list
Not only has the 25-year-old adjusted to life as a new mum to son Parker, she went back on tour with The Saturdays and then slipped into a pair of dancing shoes to compete in the hit BBC One show. Talk about multi-tasking!
In a bid to round off the 2014 with a bang, the singer has decided to host Christmas at her house this year with footballer husband Wayne Bridge. But he won’t be getting too festively adorned so not to frighten his little boy.
‘I was going to persuade Wayne to dress up as Santa for Parker but we think it migt scare him,’ she revealed this week. ‘Both our families are coming to our house for Christmas Day for the first time. There’s going to be ten of us and I want everything to be perfect.’
While the glitter ball dancer might be scoring 10s in the ballroom, she admitted that she’s not exactly a pro in the kitchen.
‘I recently burnt a whole load of mince pies that had to go straight in the bin – so my mum is in charge of cooking the turkey!’
Not one to forget her fellow The Saturdays pals, Frankie revealed that the band plans to meet up to celebrate with their own ‘mini Christmas’.
She said: ‘Instead of buying each other big presents, we like to spend some time together and go out for a nice meal. We normally do a Secret Santa and get each other silly gifts!’
With the Strictly finals this weekend, Frankie hasn’t had much time to think about her Christmas list.
She revealed: ‘There’s nothing in particular I want but you can’t go wrong with a new handbag or a pair of shoes!’
Unfortunately for the brunette star, she won’t have much have time to relax after Christmas with the Strictly tour rehearsals starting on 5 January.
‘I can’t wait to go somewhere hot and just chill on a beach,’ she said.
We’d need a holiday too after the year she’s had!
