We're not sure why Strictly's Jay is 'nervous' with moves like this!

If we had to tip someone to dance their way to the sparkling Glitterball Trophy of success on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, it’d be The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness.

Which is why we’ve been a bit thrown off at how nervous he seems about it all.

But after now uncovering this amazing video from 2009 of a young Jay throwing some serious shapes, we’re sure he’s going to go all the way once again.

Give it a watch below and just see what we mean!

Side note: He’s the guy in the blue hoody with the union jack on the front for the first piece, and then later comes in in a black vest…

First we see him bust out some fairly complex street moves to Flo Rida‘s noughties chart-topper, ‘Low’, and then Jay appears wearing the tightest black vest we’ve ever seen whilst casually styling out some contemporary dance to the Justin Timberlake classic, ‘What Goes Around Comes Around.’

And if that wasn’t enough for his millions of adoring fans, Jay gets rid of the vest and bares all to perform some lifts with the girls on stage!

It looks like Jay has been keeping a sneaky secret from all of us, considering his tweets have mainly been about how nervous he is for Strictly to begin!

You certainly didn’t look like a ‘drunk penguin’ or a ‘lost wooden spoon’ in that revealing video, Jay! But we don’t mind your modesty.

So move over Peter Andre, because by the looks of this video you’ve got some competition!

Jay has been partnered with professional dancer Aliona Vilani who has appeared on the show six times and previously won the show with McFly drummer, Harry Judd.
