Fans queue round the clock to meet the band as they hit No 1
Fans queued overnight to meet Take That at signing sessions for their new album Beautiful World.
The band, who shot back to fame this year after a series of sell out concerts, are currently top of the singles charts with Patience – their first hit for 10 years.
And from the huge turnout of followers who turned up to get copies of their album signed at HMV stores in London and Manchester yesterday, it looks like Beautiful World could go the same way.
Yasmin Johnson, 18, told the Daily Mirror she’d been queuing from 6am on Sunday for a chance to meet Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard.
She said: ‘I couldn’t speak when I met them, especially when I got a kiss from them all. It’s a dream come true.’
And it seems like it’s a dream come true for the boys as well. ‘This comeback has been bigger and better than anyone imagined,’ Gary said.
‘When we released tickets for our tour we thought we’d only sell out about six dates – we were overwhelmed with the response. Everything’s been amazing.’
