Yikes, Taylor Swift had an unexpected house call yesterday. A man was arrested outside of the singer’s LA home on Wednesday afternoon after being reported to the police by neighbours.
The man could be seen wandering suspiciously around the premises, and the Las Angeles Police Department confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that he was detained at around 4.30pm.
Reports from TMZ say that the individual was questioned by the officers, who then determined that he needed an evaluation at the hospital and was not charged with any crime.
The police told E! News: ‘The man was detained for an investigation. He was not supposed to be in that area or near that home. He was taken for observation for an undisclosed medical condition.’
Taylor Swift’s spokesperson added: ‘This is why it’s irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities. This, or potentially worse, is the end result.’
A source told the website that the man was allegedly yelling for the superstar to come outside.
Poor Tay-Tay has been caught up in a terrifying situation before. In 2014 she was granted a three-year restraining order against a man who had been harassing her through phone messages, letters and social media.
There have been no reports suggesting Taylor Swift was in the house at the time, but we hope she’s not too shaken up, bless her.
