After *much* speculation, read the biggest conspiracy theories for the season five finale of Game of Thrones!

Jon Snow might know nothing but we like to think we’re a little more clued up here at Now.

With the final episode of Game of Thrones season five airing tonight – 9.00pm Sky be there or be square – the conspiracy theories for the concluding episode have been coming in thick and fast.

Here is a collection of the strongest (and most jaw-dropping) theories of the finale…

Warning! Stop reading immediately if you want the final episode to be a complete surprise!

This must be the most widely debated GoT premise. According to one theory Jon’s mother is Lyanna Stark, Ned‘s sister. And before you shout ‘incest’ (don’t shout that too loudly) certain fans have speculated that Ned wasn’t even Jon’s father after all and it is actually Rhaegar Targaryen who was killed after running off with Lyanna, and brought back from the war as a baby by Ned.

  1. Tyrion likes dragons

Another popular conspiracy is the ‘Ice and Fire’ theory, which boils down to Tyrion actually being a Targaryen. Who remembers when Tywin called Tyrion ‘no son of mine’?!

  1. No, Tyrion REALLY likes dragons

It goes even deeper than that… theorists believe that this means Tyrion is part of the ‘dragon with three heads’ that Daenerys was told about in a prophecy in the House of the Undying and they will all unite in the finale! *head explodes*

  1. And Varys likes mermaids

Okay this one is possibly a little far fetched, but some have speculated that Varys is actually a mermaid. There have been hints of creatures called ‘Merlings’ in the seven kingdoms, and apparently Varys is one of them. This all stemmed from Tyrion threatening to throw Varys into the sea, to which he replied, ‘You might be disappointed in the results’. Fishy…

5. Lydia’s Theory

And a theory close to home, Now‘s Lydia thinks that the Khaleesi dragons are going to exterminate the White Walkers

After all that we need a lie down and a cold flannel before tonight’s episode!
