Dancer Brian struggled to keep the 1D boys focused
Creative director Brian, 30 – who choreographs the weekly routines for the contestants – found that teaching 1D was quite a challenge.
‘Teenage boys are the hardest,’ he says.
‘I always used to have to say to the boys: “One Direction? It’s every direction except where I need you to be!”
‘But being in a room with them and trying to maintain some level of cooperation kept me young.’
Despite his efforts, Brian admits the young stars weren’t always as focused as he would have liked.
‘We’d rehearse in a gym, but when I needed them to pay attention they’d throw big yoga balls at each other’s head,’ he tells The Sun.
‘That was their favourite pastime in rehearsals.’
