Jessica Wright talks TOWIE, love and being brother Mark and Michelle Keegan's bridesmaid
It’s been a hectic eight months for Jessica Wright – but after her split with Ricky Rayment she’s got a new outlook, a new man and a new fashion venture as the first celebrity face of Ann Summers’ swimwear collection. We catch up with Jess, 29, to talk love and life through the TOWIE lens…
How’s your new romance with Dan Edgar going, Jess?
I’m very much single. I don’t want to be with anyone – I want to be alone. We’ve been dating a bit, on and off camera, but we’re taking it really slow.
But the chemistry between you two is insane!
[Smiles] He’s a lovely boy. He’s so sweet, laid-back and kind. And calm, which is so refreshing! I feel like I can be myself and I’m very happy. There’s no stress or worries. Let’s see what happens.
So have you spoken to your ex Ricky recently?
No. It’s just irrelevant. That’s all in the past and I just want to focus on going forward.
Are you excited about your brother Mark’s wedding to Michelle Keegan next month?
Of course. My bridesmaid dress is gorgeous. I’m so happy for them.
You and Ricky talked marriage. Do you want a wedding one day?
Well, he talked about it. I look at Mark and Michelle‘s relationship and it’s so lovely. I’m sure it’ll happen for me one day.
You look amazing. Do you feel body confident?
I didn’t for a long time, then last year I stepped up my fitness. Before that, I’d work out half- heartedly and not get results. I stayed in all the time and ate crap. Getting a personal trainer who motivates me was the starting point.
How did you become the face of Ann Summers swimwear?
I’ve always wanted to do it and it’s been in the pipeline for eight months. I’ve had a hand in designing the line – choosing colours, materials and patterns. There are 15 pieces, including bandeaus for bigger boobs and push-ups for smaller boobs. Just in time for summer!
