Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos faces up to two years in prison and at least a 12 month driving ban if found guilty of the charges

Tulisa Contostavlos has been charged with drink driving and dangerous driving following a crash involving her swanky Ferrari.

The N Dubz singer was arrested in September last year after crashing the £199,000 sports car into another vehicle outside Southgate tube station in north London, and was breathalysed at the scene.

After failing the breath test, she was taken into police custody, where she was reportedly held for almost 22 hours.

CCTV footage of the crash obtained by The Sun showed that the star was travelling on the wrong side of the road when the collision occurred.

A London Met spokesperson told The Mirror: ‘Tulisa Contostavlos, 27, was charged on Monday, 7 March with drink-driving and dangerous driving.’

‘She was bailed to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates court on Monday, 4 April.’

If convicted, the Female Boss could face up to two years in prison and be banned from driving for at least 12 months.

Following the incident last year, the former X Factor star vowed to clear her name.

But Tulisa hasn’t let the latest charges dampen her pursuit of fun – she’s currently living it up on holiday in Dubai, posting a string of sexy swimwear snaps on her Instagram account.

Yet she seemed in a reflective mood when she posted her latest snap, featuring a quote that read: ‘Dear Past, Thank you for the lessons. Dear Future, I’m ready.’
