Twilight actor Robert Pattinson thought it was a 'good place to be'

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he got into an elephant’s mouth while shooting his forthcoming movie.

The Twilight hunk had to work closely with the giant mammals in Water For Elephants.

Robert, 24, admits he thought climbing into the jaw of one of his animal co-star’s would help them bond.

The first time I met Thai the elephant, I just got in her mouth,’ he said on US programme The Tonight Show With Jay Leno..

It just seemed like a good place to be. She had these huge lips and her teeth were all the way at the back so she just carried me around.’

Water For Elephants is out in cinemas on 6 May.
