Roman Catholic church want SuBo to celebrate saint
Susan Boyle has been asked to sing at a special tribute for Capuchin monk Padre Pio.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 49, was visited by one of the most senior figures in the Roman Catholic church and is now considering the offer.
Father Gian Maria Di Giorgi flew to Scotland to talk to SuBo personally.
‘I have great devotion to Padre Pio,’ confirms Susan, who is already lined up to perform for Pope Benedict in September.
Padre Pio, who died in 1968, was made a saint in 2002. During his life, he experienced stigmata – bleeding from parts of his body where Jesus was believed to be wounded during the Crucifixion.
