The first video footage of the Friends cast reuniting for a one-off TV special sees the stars being asked if they were banned from SLEEPING with one another...
They teased us with an internet-breaking photo last month, and now we’ve got our first glimpse of video footage from The One Where The Cast Of Friends Were Reunited.
The stars of the iconic 90s sitcom squeezed onto a couch together (sadly not THE couch from Central Perk) for a special TV tribute to producer James Burrows last month, and the just-released video teaser showing the Friends reunion has only left us wanting more.
It shows Phoebe, Ross, Monica, Joey and Rachel – AKA Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Matt Le Blanc and Jennifer Aniston – dressed in their best and ready to answer questions from host Andy Cohen.
The notable exception is Chandler Bing (or Matthew Perry as he insists on people calling him for some strange reason), who is busy staging his self-penned play in London. Boo.
It’s understood that
Chandler Matthew has filmed a video message which will be shown during the two-hour tribute. Yay!
Judging from this short trailer, it looks like it’s going to be a juicy watch.
During the Friends section of the show – which also sees the casts of The Big Bang Theory, Fraiser and Will & Grace come together – Cohen asks the five Friends: ‘Did you all sign a contract saying you wouldn’t sleep with each other?’
Cue bemused faces from the stars, Lisa Kudrow prompting Schwimmer, ‘David, say something!’, and him going full Ross on us with a bumbling, ‘Oh, oh!’
James Burrows directed a total of 15 instalments of Friends, including the first ever episode and The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break – which we’ve still never really gotten over, even though we know it all works out in the end.
The special is due to air in the US on Sunday 21 February. Gah, could we BE more excited!?
