Prince and Paris Jackson pay tribute to their late dad

Michael Jackson‘s eldest children accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award on his behalf at last night’s Grammys.

Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, were joined on stage by their cousins at LA’s Staples Centre.

Through all his songs, [our father’s] message was simple: love,’ said Prince.

We will continue to spread his message and help the world.’

Earlier, Lionel Richie introduced an all-star tribute performance of Michael‘s hit track Earth Song.

Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion and Smokey Robinson sang on stage while images of nature were shown on screens.

The segment was filmed in 3D and was intended to be part of Michael‘s This Is It residency at London’s O2.

Part of it was also featured in a documentary of the same name.
